Senior Business Analyst

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst 3 – Data & Reporting Location: 100% Remote Work authorization: GC or USC

Responsibilities

Gather, document, analyze, and validate business requirements for data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications. Analyze business processes, data requirements, and reporting workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI. Work with Snowflake to access, analyze, validate, and retrieve data for reporting and business analysis. Support data extracts, data validation, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy. Perform root cause analysis to investigate data discrepancies, reporting issues, and business process problems. Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and other technical resources to design and implement effective reporting solutions. Prepare business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and other project documentation. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test case development, execution coordination, defect tracking, and validation of business requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues identified during testing and ensure reporting solutions meet business expectations. Develop user documentation and train business users on reporting tools, dashboards, and implemented solutions. Support implementation, deployment, and post-implementation activities. Communicate project progress, risks, findings, and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders. Ensure data quality, reporting consistency, and alignment between business requirements and delivered solutions. Qualifications 8+ years of experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements. 8+ years of experience analyzing business requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to design technical solutions. 8+ years of strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. 5+ years of experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end-user training, and implementation activities. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake. Demonstrated experience in data analysis, business reporting, data extracts, and root cause analysis. Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications and reporting solutions. Strong stakeholder management and requirements elicitation skills. Ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend practical, data-driven solutions. Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
