In this role, you will be the linchpin that connects business stakeholders, SAP functional consultants, technical teams, and implementation partners. Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Engineering: Lead workshops with business stakeholders to capture, document, and validate functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable specifications that guide design and development.
• Process Analysis & Gap Identification: Map current‑state utility processes against future‑state SAP IS‑U capabilities. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement, and recommend solutions that align with regulatory mandates and best practices.
• Design & QA Review: Partner with technical leads during design reviews to verify logic accuracy, data mapping, and defect‑free handoffs. Ensure that functional designs are fully aligned with business requirements and SAP IS‑U standards.
• Integration & Testing: Coordinate system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT). Review test scenarios, support defect resolution, and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
• Data Conversion & Validation: Oversee data conversion activities, including source‑to‑target mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and resolution of data quality issues. Ensure that customer master data, metering information, and billing records are accurate and complete.
• Meter‑to‑Cash (M2C) Process Support: Champion end‑to‑end M2C processes, covering customer master data, move‑in/move‑out, metering, billing, invoicing, payments, collections, and service orders. Align these processes with SAP IS‑U modules and external interfaces.
• Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate cross‑functional workshops, manage dependencies, and communicate project risks, issues, and status to senior stakeholders. Translate technical details into business‑friendly language to keep everyone aligned.
• Cutover & Go‑Live Planning: Contribute to cutover plans, go‑live readiness assessments, and post‑implementation stabilization activities. Ensure that all stakeholders are prepared for transition and that critical business functions remain uninterrupted.
• Reporting & Analytics: Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams to define operational reporting, KPIs, and dashboards. Prioritize Day‑1 reporting needs and support ongoing performance monitoring.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance system usability. Champion best practices across the organization and drive adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Essential Qualifications

• 7+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in enterprise technology implementations or transformation programs.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in the regulated electric and/or gas utility sector, with deep knowledge of customer operations and CIS processes.
• Proven experience supporting SAP IS‑U or a comparable enterprise utility CIS implementation. SAP IS‑U expertise is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of Meter‑to‑Cash processes, including customer service, metering, billing, invoicing, and payments.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements, produce functional specifications, conduct process mapping, perform gap analysis, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience with system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), data conversion, and defect management.
• Familiarity with CIS integrations to AMI/MDM, CRM, payment platforms, GIS, and other enterprise utility systems.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Client ALM, Visio, or similar project delivery tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Willingness to travel to Columbus, OH up to 50% throughout the engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full lifecycle SAP IS‑U CIS implementation or modernization experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of SAP IS‑U modules: Customer Service, Device Management, Billing, Invoicing, and FI‑CA.
• Experience supporting large‑scale utility customers and billing data migrations.
• Familiarity with utility tariffs, billing exceptions, revenue assurance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing cutover, go‑live, hyper‑care, and offshore delivery teams.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
