Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be the technical champion for our customer delivery initiatives. Your day‑to‑day work will involve:

• Platform Architecture & Design – Lead the design of highly available, secure Kubernetes clusters tailored to each client’s unique requirements.
• Cluster Deployment & Management – Deploy, configure, and maintain clusters across on‑prem, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and resilience.
• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering – Build and refine automated pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and other tools to accelerate delivery and reduce manual effort.
• Security & Hardening – Implement best‑practice security controls, including network segmentation, role‑based access, secrets management, and continuous compliance monitoring.
• Customer‑Facing Delivery – Collaborate closely with clients to understand their operational goals, provide technical guidance, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
• Toolchain Integration – Evaluate, integrate, and maintain tools such as Spectro Cloud, Helm, Docker, OCI registries, and private container registries.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing – Produce clear, reusable documentation, runbooks, and training materials to empower both internal teams and external customers.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify bottlenecks, propose enhancements, and champion automation across the platform lifecycle.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work with product, support, and sales teams to align platform capabilities with market demands and customer expectations.
• Mentorship & Coaching – Guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Essential Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, DevOps, or cloud engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes platform engineering, including cluster provisioning, networking, storage, and lifecycle management.
• Proven track record of deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments (on‑prem, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines) and container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of container runtimes (Docker, containerd), Helm, and OCI registries.
• Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals, hardening techniques, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment while maintaining high levels of collaboration.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing product strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spectro Cloud or similar Kubernetes platform‑as‑a‑service solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or other IaC tools for infrastructure provisioning.
• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger) and log aggregation.
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies and budgeting tools.
• Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or cloud‑specific credentials (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience in a customer‑facing role, delivering solutions to enterprise clients.
