[Remote] Accounts Payable Specialist

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NATURE&BIRDING is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to maintain organized supplier accounts and investigate routine invoice differences. The role includes reviewing invoices, tracking payment status and due dates, resolving straightforward discrepancies, and supporting month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Answer routine questions about invoice receipt or payment status
• Assist with month-end close by preparing invoice and balance summaries
• Review vendor invoices for required information and mathematical accuracy
• Check payment due dates and maintain an accurate invoice status tracker
• Request missing vendor documentation through approved channels
• Record credit notes and adjustments once authorized
• Identify aging invoices requiring appropriate follow-up

Skills

• Ability to follow payment authorization procedures
• Confidential treatment of financial and banking information
• Understanding of basic invoices, credits, and payment terms
• Organized handling of multiple invoice due dates
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
• Familiarity with accounting software is beneficial
