[Remote] Principal, Solution Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Workday is seeking a Principal, Solution Consultant to provide senior-level presales technical leadership for complex enterprise software sales focused on Workday Financials and related cloud technologies. The role leads client discovery, solution architecture, demonstrations, and technical consultation, while partnering with sales and product teams to shape solution strategy and align offerings with client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level presales technical leadership to support the sale of complex enterprise software solutions using Workday Financials and related cloud technologies
• Lead discovery sessions with prospective clients to analyze business requirements and design advanced solution architectures that demonstrate the scalability, integration capability, and strategic value of Workday Financials products
• Develop and deliver high-impact technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept configurations for executive-level stakeholders
• Serve as a subject matter expert to guide sales teams in defining solution strategy, scope, and positioning for complex or competitive opportunities
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Implementation organizations to influence roadmap priorities and ensure proposed solutions align with client and market needs
• Provide technical consultation to clients on solution design, configuration options, and integration strategies

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal, Solution Consultant-related occupation
• Five years (60 months) of experience in conducting business process analysis for enterprise finance functions, including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Banking, Fixed Assets, and Period Close
• Five years (60 months) of experience in designing and presenting solution approaches, configurations, and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate product capabilities
• Five years (60 months) of experience in delivering software demonstrations and presentations for business and technical audiences
• Five years (60 months) of experience in applying financial accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal control concepts in solution design
• Five years (60 months) of experience in preparing RFI/RFP responses and solution documentation aligned to customer requirements
• Five years (60 months) of experience in explaining integration, reporting, and data flow concepts related to cloud-based financial systems; and
• Five years (60 months) of experience in collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and Implementation teams to define scope and align proposed solutions with product strategy
• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Principal, Solution Consultant-related occupation
• Three years (36 months) of experience in conducting business process analysis for enterprise finance functions, including General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Banking, Fixed Assets, and Period Close
• Three years (36 months) of experience in designing and presenting solution approaches, configurations, and proofs-of-concept to demonstrate product capabilities
• Three years (36 months) of experience in delivering software demonstrations and presentations for business and technical audiences
• Three years (36 months) of experience in experience in applying financial accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal control concepts in solution design
• Three years (36 months) of experience in preparing RFI/RFP responses and solution documentation aligned to customer requirements
