Position Overview

As a Senior Conversational AI & Generative Chatbot Engineer, you will be the technical architect and hands‑on engineer responsible for designing, building, and deploying advanced chatbot solutions on the brighthush platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, data scientists, and client stakeholders to deliver intelligent, scalable, and highly reliable conversational experiences. Your expertise in JavaScript, Python, and real‑time system development will drive the creation of next‑generation AI agents that power omnichannel customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Implement Conversational Solutions: Lead the end‑to‑end development of chatbot and AI agent features, translating business requirements into robust, maintainable code.
• Enhance Existing AI Agents: Continuously improve the performance, accuracy, and user experience of the brighthush Proactive AI Agent and related chatbot frameworks.
• Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, well‑documented JavaScript and Python code; develop unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure reliability.
• Code Review & Mentorship: Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to elevate team skill levels.
• Production Support: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user satisfaction.
• Project Management: Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand‑ups; estimate effort, track progress, and manage risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Present technical concepts, demos, and solution pitches to clients and internal stakeholders; translate complex ideas into clear, actionable insights.
• Innovation & Research: Stay current with emerging AI, NLP, and cloud technologies; evaluate new tools and frameworks for potential integration into the brighthush ecosystem.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, best‑practice guides, and knowledge bases to support team collaboration.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience building and deploying Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems, including large language model (LLM) or generative AI solutions.
• At least 3 years of software development experience in JavaScript, Python, or Java, with a strong focus on real‑time, event‑driven architectures.
• 5+ years of hands‑on JavaScript development, demonstrating proficiency in modern frameworks (React, Node.js, Express, etc.).
• Deep familiarity with chatbot platforms such as brighthush, brighthush, brighthush, and brighthush, including architecture, APIs, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience designing AI virtual agents and agent‑assist solutions that integrate with voice, chat, email, and SMS channels.
