Key Responsibilities

As a Full‑Stack Software Engineer on our Chat Platform team, you will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle—from ideation to production. Your day‑to‑day tasks will include:

• Design & Architecture: Craft scalable, maintainable solutions for real‑time messaging and AI‑powered conversational flows.
• Full‑Stack Development: Write clean, well‑tested code in TypeScript, Node.js, and Python, adhering to brighthush’s coding standards.
• Real‑Time Communication: Build and maintain WebSocket‑based services that deliver instant, low‑latency messaging.
• SDK Integration: Develop, integrate, and support Web, iOS, and Android SDKs to ensure a consistent omnichannel experience.
• AI & Conversational Engineering: Leverage Dialogflow CX, GECX, and other AI tools to create intelligent, context‑aware chatbots and virtual assistants.
• System Integration: Connect the chat platform with internal services, third‑party APIs, and data stores (NoSQL/SQL).
• Independent Troubleshooting: Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex issues across the stack, from backend services to client SDKs.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming using Jira and digital.ai Agility.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Guide junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to best‑practice documentation.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Firestore.
• Strong background in designing and implementing real‑time communication systems using WebSockets.
• Experience building or integrating SDKs for Web, iOS, and Android platforms.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTPS, JSON, and database technologies (NoSQL/SQL).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production‑grade, consumer‑facing applications independently.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and tools like Jira.
