Senior Technical Product Manager – Customer Integration & AI Solutions – Driving Seamless API & Workflow Automation for Healthcare Staffing at brighthush
About brighthush
brighthush is at the forefront of transforming how the staffing industry verifies, screens, and credentializes talent. Founded by a visionary leader who previously helped shape the early days of LinkedIn, brighthush is redefining background screening for the modern workforce. By embedding our solutions directly into the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms that hiring teams already trust, we eliminate friction and accelerate compliance for healthcare staffing agencies worldwide.
Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to make background verification as seamless as a single click, while ensuring the highest standards of data security and regulatory compliance. We are the only background check integration in the Bullhorn investment portfolio, and our public API is the backbone of a growing ecosystem of partners and customers. Now, we are building an AI‑driven workforce of autonomous agents that automate the compliance workflows our clients perform manually. This is a hands‑on, cutting‑edge role that blends deep technical expertise with customer‑centric product thinking.
Why brighthush?
- Impactful Innovation – Work on AI agents that transform compliance from a manual chore into a frictionless, automated experience.
- Customer‑First Culture – Every decision is guided by the real needs of our clients, from staffing agencies to large healthcare organizations.
- Fast‑Paced Growth – As a rapidly scaling startup, you’ll see your ideas move from concept to production in record time.
- Collaborative Environment – Small, cross‑functional teams empower you to own projects end‑to‑end and make a measurable difference.
- Learning & Development – Access to industry conferences, AI research labs, and internal knowledge sharing sessions.
Role Overview
As the Senior Technical Product Manager for Customer Solutions, you will be the technical voice that bridges the gap between our AI product vision and the real‑world workflows of our customers. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery of integration solutions, from scoping and design to implementation and post‑go‑live support. Your work will directly influence how our AI agents are embedded into Bullhorn, Symplr CTM, Workday, and other partner ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer‑Centric Technical Leadership – Serve as the primary technical advisor during customer and prospect conversations, providing real‑time solutions for customization, troubleshooting, and new API use cases.
- Integration Design & Delivery – Architect how brighthush fits into a customer’s system: data flows, field/status mapping, error handling, and configuration. Translate complex customer requirements into clear, actionable specifications for engineering.
- End‑to‑End Solution Ownership – Own the full lifecycle of customer solutions: write requirements, break down work, track progress, and keep stakeholders informed through go‑live.
- AI Product Enablement – Prioritize and drive the deployment of AI agents within customer environments, ensuring seamless activation and optimal performance.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer – Convert recurring integration questions into comprehensive guides and best‑practice documentation, empowering Customer Success and Implementation teams.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Implementation, and Partner teams to align on priorities, resolve blockers, and iterate on solutions.
- Strategic Roadmap Contribution – Provide insights on integration patterns and customer pain points that shape the product roadmap and feature backlog.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical product management, solutions architecture, or technical implementation at a software company.
- Proven track record of working directly with customers, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Hands‑on expertise with REST APIs, webhooks, data mapping, and authentication flows. Comfortable reading API documentation, testing endpoints (Postman, Insomnia), and reasoning through integration scenarios independently.
- Strong written communication skills: ability to distill messy customer requests into clear, concise specifications that engineers can execute.
- Experience managing cross‑functional projects, breaking down work into manageable tasks, and driving delivery to schedule.
- Broad exposure to integration patterns across multiple systems – the breadth of patterns matters more than any single platform.
Preferred Qualifications & Learnable Skills
- Background in healthcare staffing, background screening, credentialing, or compliance – domain knowledge is valuable but not mandatory; we prioritize integration instincts.
- Experience with credentialing or verification workflows.
- Familiarity with ATS, VMS, HCM, or HRIS ecosystems such as Bullhorn, Symplr, or Workday.
- SQL or light scripting skills for testing, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Hands‑on experience deploying AI or automation features into customer environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Systems Thinking – Evaluate how a new integration will affect customers, internal teams, engineering capacity, and partner ecosystems.
- Problem‑Solving & Creativity – Generate multiple viable solutions when standard patterns don’t fit, weigh trade‑offs, and recommend the best path forward.
- Communication & Influence – Read people, manage expectations, and deliver difficult news while maintaining trust.
- Autonomy & Ownership – Make scoping and solution decisions within agreed guardrails, escalating only when truly necessary.
- Customer Empathy – Understand the real pain points of staffing agencies and healthcare organizations, translating them into product enhancements.
