[Remote] Accounts Payable

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nexus of Work is hiring for a part-time, remote Accounts Payable role. The role manages vendor invoices and payments, supports reconciliations and financial close activities, and helps maintain audit documentation and improve accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities

• The Accounts Payable role is a part-time remote position responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and coding invoices, reconciling statements, preparing and posting journal entries, and tracking expense reports to ensure compliance with internal policies
• The role involves working closely with finance and accounting team members to resolve discrepancies, respond to payment inquiries, and support month-end and quarter-end closing activities
• The team member will also assist in maintaining organized documentation for audits and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and control within the accounts payable function

Skills

• Experience with accounts payable processes, including handling expense reports and vendor invoice management
• Strong analytical skills to reconcile accounts, identify variances, and support financial reviews
• A foundation in finance and accounting principles to support accurate payment processing and reporting
• Skills in preparing and posting journal entries (accounting) related to payables and accruals
• Prior experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP software
• Strong attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality
• An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• In a technology or SaaS environment
