Our Vision and Mission

At brighthush, we believe that great shopping should be accessible, enjoyable, and memorable. Our mission is to empower shoppers with high‑quality products, exceptional service, and a seamless experience that turns first‑time visits into lifelong loyalty. We do this by combining cutting‑edge retail technology, data‑driven insights, and a passionate team that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Why This Role Matters

As a Part‑Time Customer Experience Coordinator, you will be the linchpin that connects the front‑of‑house team to the broader mission of brighthush: creating unforgettable moments for every shopper. Your leadership will shape the daily rhythm of the store, influence customer loyalty, and drive operational excellence. In return, you’ll receive a competitive hourly rate, a comprehensive benefits package, and a clear career path that rewards dedication and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front‑of‑House Leadership: Guide the associate team to deliver prompt, courteous service, ensuring every customer feels welcomed and valued.
  • Loyalty Program Advocacy: Educate shoppers on brighthush’s loyalty initiatives, encouraging enrollment and repeat visits.
  • Associate Development: Provide on‑the‑job coaching, performance feedback, and individualized development plans that foster continuous improvement.
  • Operational Oversight: Assign registers, manage POS coverage, coordinate breaks, and maintain adherence to store plans and schedules.
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer concerns swiftly, turning potential complaints into positive, memorable experiences.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Communicate priorities and updates with store management, merchandising, loss prevention, and operations teams.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce labor laws, store policies, and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for staff and shoppers.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor sales targets, shrink reduction initiatives, and contribute to store performance dashboards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in store improvement projects, share best practices, and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by management to support store success.

Deep Dive: What Your Day Looks Like

From opening the doors to closing the register, you’ll orchestrate a symphony of tasks that keep the store humming. Your mornings might start with a quick huddle to set the day’s goals, followed by a walk‑through to ensure visual merchandising is on point. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor sales trends, spot potential shrink risks, and coach associates on upselling techniques. In the afternoons, you’ll review performance dashboards, adjust staffing plans, and collaborate with merchandising to refresh displays. Evenings and weekends will bring a higher volume of foot traffic, requiring you to stay agile, maintain composure, and keep the team motivated.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of retail experience with a strong customer‑service focus.
  • At least 6 months of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic data entry.
  • Commitment to upholding brighthush’s values of honesty, integrity, and customer focus.

What We’re Looking For

We want leaders who thrive in dynamic settings, who can inspire a team to exceed expectations, and who can translate data into actionable insights. If you’re a natural problem‑solver, a people‑person, and a strategic thinker, you’ll fit right in.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with merchandising techniques and visual display standards.
  • Knowledge of retail analytics and performance metrics.
  • Background in training development or instructional design.
  • Demonstrated success in driving loyalty program enrollment.
  • Prior experience in a high‑volume retail environment.

Why These Preferences Matter

While the core responsibilities can be mastered with foundational retail experience, the preferred qualifications accelerate your impact. Merchandising expertise, for instance, allows you to create eye‑catching displays that drive impulse purchases. A background in training development ensures you can craft engaging learning experiences for associates, boosting performance and morale.

Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse team toward shared goals.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Passion for delivering memorable experiences and turning first‑time shoppers into loyal advocates.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quick thinker who can assess situations, identify solutions, and implement actions under pressure.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive communication with customers, associates, and management.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with change, able to pivot priorities and respond to evolving store needs.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Comfortable interpreting sales data, inventory reports, and performance metrics.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and retail software platforms.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross‑functionally with merchandising, loss prevention, and operations teams.

How These Skills Translate to Success

Leadership and communication are the backbone of a thriving store. When you can articulate expectations clearly, motivate your team, and resolve conflicts swiftly, the entire store ecosystem benefits. Data‑driven decision making ensures that every action is backed by evidence, reducing guesswork and maximizing ROI. Adaptability keeps you ahead of market shifts, ensuring that brighthush remains a leader in retail innovation.
