About brighthush
brighthush is the trusted civil‑design platform that is redefining how utilities, civil engineers, and municipalities plan, design, and build infrastructure. As a venture‑backed Series A startup, brighthush is tackling a $4.7 trillion U.S. infrastructure market that has long been underserved by software. Founded by industry insiders with more than a decade of experience in utilities and civil engineering, we move fast, ship work that matters, and stay close to the customers and field teams we build for.
Why This Role Matters
As a Senior Strategic Customer Success Manager, you will own brighthush’s largest and most complex customer relationships—enterprise utilities, state DOTs, and national engineering firms. You will be the executive‑level partner for these accounts, turning early wins into organization‑wide adoption, multi‑year renewals, and expansion. Your influence will shape the future of infrastructure design across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑End Account Ownership: Manage a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts from pilot to adoption, health monitoring, renewal, and expansion.
- Strategic Account Planning: Build and maintain detailed account plans that map organizational structure, stakeholders, business priorities, and whitespace across departments and regions.
- Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate relationships with executive sponsors (VPs and Directors of engineering, gas and electric operations, GIS and asset management) and day‑to‑day champions.
- Executive Business Reviews: Lead quarterly business reviews that tie brighthush usage to tangible customer outcomes and ROI.
- Pilot & Deployment Leadership: Partner with Solutions Engineers to design pilot and deployment strategies, set success criteria, and turn successful pilots into enterprise rollouts.
- Commercial Expansion: Collaborate with Account Executives to identify new teams, use cases, and products, co‑owning the commercial motion to drive expansion.
- Risk Management & Escalations: Spot and mitigate risk early, and run escalations across Product, Engineering, and Operations when needed.
- Voice‑of‑Customer Advocacy: Provide structured customer feedback to Product, shaping the roadmap around enterprise requirements.
- Case Studies & References: Develop compelling case studies and secure references with flagship customers.
- Playbook Development: Help build brighthush’s enterprise CS playbook, including account planning, EBR frameworks, health scoring, and serve as a model for the wider CS team.
Essential Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or consulting, with a proven track record managing enterprise accounts that involve complex, multi‑stakeholder buying groups.
- Demonstrated success driving renewals and expansion in large accounts, ideally within utilities, DOTs, public agencies, or AEC firms.
- Comfortable engaging with executives—able to run a QBR/EBR with a VP and hold a technical conversation with a GIS lead in the same week.
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to build a business case and quantify ROI.
- Technical aptitude with familiarity in civil design, utility operations, or infrastructure data.
- Bias toward action, a strong point of view, and the judgment to work independently with limited guidance.
- Willingness to travel 30–50% for on‑site executive meetings, account planning sessions, and fieldwork.
